Our Commitment
When you drop off beat up, old and dirty discs to us, you are not only ensuring those discs see new life, but also contributing to the growth of the game. We will donate *15% of disc sales revenue towards youth disc golf. We hope to increase this number over time. Let's grow the game!
*For fundraising discs, 100% of the sale goes to the source program/event.

The Beat Up Disc
Dirty, dull, scratched, burrs, gashes etc.
Step 1: The Bath
The disc is put in a sodium bicarbonate bath using denture cleaning tablets. This losens dirt, lifts some stains, removes some of the added on ink and makes the disc smell nice. The disc is then brushed using the same water.
Step 2 & 3: Spot Cleaning, Trimming and Sanding
A melamine sponge (e.g. Mr. Clean Magic Eraser) is used to remove remaining stains and unwanted ink (if possible), being careful not to rub off the manufacturer stamp (unless desired). Nail clippers are used to remove burrs and the nail clipper sanding tool to sand rough areas.
Step 3 continued: Sandpaper
Some rough areas need a more aggressive treatment using a fine grit sandpaper, being careful not to alter the general shape of the disc and keeping in the look of normal wear. It's about removing the problem areas, not making a new disc! Now it is ready for polish.
Step 4: Polish - the Final Step!
We use a soft cloth to polish the disc using a plastic polish (same kind used to clean car headlights). This has the greatest effect on premium over base plastics, but helps all discs to look and smell nicer. Prior to this, one can use acetone to remove remaining unwanted ink (if possible) and to remove the manufacturer stamp (if you want and if possible).
Hey! That's my disc!
We ask that anyone dropping off discs to us ensure the discs are theirs or they have permission or they are truly abandoned and unclaimed discs. If you see a disc that you think is yours, first consider whether you have abandoned it. If you have not sought it out in more than a year, then the disc would normally be considered abandoned. If someone contacted you about the disc and you never responded to them, then the disc may be abandoned. We are not saying you cannot have the disc back. We only ask that you consider whether you abandoned it or not before contacting us. Otherwise, we are willing to reunite the disc with you. Please use the contact page and let us know. We then ask that you pay the cost of us cleaning up the disc, approximately $3.00 to $5.00.
